JULY 17 PROTEST ( ENOUGH IS ENOUGH)

At STAND, we rose in protest against the Unity Party-led government of President Joseph Nyuma Boakai due to the alarming rise in corruption, constitutional violations, and a dangerous decline in leadership accountability. Our action is driven by the suffering of ordinary Liberians who face worsening economic hardship while public officials enrich themselves with impunity. We condemn the blatant disregard for the Constitution of Liberia, the erosion of democratic norms, and the manipulation of state institutions for personal and political gain. We stand against increasing police brutality and the silencing of dissenting voices. Even more troubling are the mysterious deaths of citizens under suspicious circumstances—deaths that remain unexplained and uninvestigated. STAND will not remain silent in the face of injustice, lawlessness, and abuse of power. We protest because we believe in a better Liberia—one where justice, accountability, and human dignity are upheld, and the rights of every citizen are protected.
